Finned Swordfish
A Finned Swordfish is a Swordfish pattern with one or more extra candidates ("fins") that extend beyond the normal pattern.
Pattern Recognition
A Finned Swordfish has:
- A standard Swordfish pattern (candidate in 2-3 positions across three rows/columns)
- One or more extra candidates ("fins") in one of the base rows/columns
- The fins are confined to a single box that also contains part of the Swordfish
How It Works
Similar to Finned X-Wing, the fins limit where eliminations can occur. Eliminations are only valid in cells that see both the relevant Swordfish position and all the fins in that box.
